| About The Artist |
Originally, I am from South River, New Jersey. I have a B.S. in design and worked as a freelance illustrator/designer for ten years before returning to my first love – painting. I have been living in New Hampshire since 1976. The picturesque colonial villages and everchanging seasons of New England are the source of inspiration for my "contemporary primitive" paintings. One of my prints, "Country Christmas", was featured on the QVC gallery in 1995. I have also done custom artwork for The Orvis Catalogue. My studio is in Amherst, New Hampshire where I live with my husband, Leon, and our Welsh Terrier, Jack. We have two sons who also work in the field of art but use the computer as their tool of choice. My artwork is marketed through select galleries and gift shops in the United States and is also found in many private collections throughout the United states and abroad. I hope you receive as much pleasure viewing my art as I have received in creating it. Marianne |
